LIFE – DEATH
There is one thing common in every creature. They take birth to start a life, make growth, get exhausted, then die to end the life, ‘Sanskar’ keeps a records of our rise and fall during the life span. It is like a computer memory and based on that only the life soul gets a new life after death.
There are two types of fame (reputation) within a life span of a person:-
One type of fame we prepare for ourselves, with the help of other. Other people have some role in it. But the second type of fame does not bring other in account. The first one should be avoided. It is the fame of wealth, position and a fame of becoming a saint or a person to be worshiped. But, that kind of fame is snatched away by the death of that particular person. It becomes useless after death. After the death, people will look for the disposal of your dead body. People will cry over your death for a few days only. Things will come to normal after that. Who will stand by you then ? People are near to you as long as you are alive. After that, no body will be there with you. Some people whose self interest is fulfilled by you will miss you for a long period. The rest will forget you. Our life is like a line drawn on the water, which vanishes with no instance. For us, the thought of another person is like a pyramid made of ‘cards’, which vanishes with a little thrust of wind, and everything comes to an end.
The other fame is : -
Dignify, rectification and development of ‘self’. Here we don’t make any ‘card pyramid’, but permanent treatment for ourselves. By dying every day, we rise up and meet biggest death. The biggest death occurs to the body as well as to the ‘Sanskar’ of ‘Brahman’ and to the mind ( conscious ). We don’t take rebirth again with effect of the great destruction of our material existence, i.e. the destruction of life soul. Destroy the bamboo plant for the fear of a flute. Flute can make good tune as well as bad tunes sometimes. If you have the fear of bad tunes, then avoid the flute for ever. This is Salvation.
There is another way in between. In that, the life is experienced to the full extent, and then the pleasure of salvation is also taken. These two are within our control. Enjoy the life to full extent and then after getting bored with it, go for salvation i.e. the great death. But don’t take the decision in a haste. Don’t keep your conscience aside, because after the ‘great death’ – it is a difference of infinite numbers of rebirth before taking a new life. To take a human from, the life soul has faced lots of struggle, has under gone so many deaths and rebirths; after which only he could reached to this. It is only now that he has started understanding the depth of life. He has understood the strength of life. In spite of all those labor, if you cannot see any ray of hope, or got tired, then you are free to flee away leaving everything behind. Who is stopping you ? If one person like you becomes an escapist, the creation will not make a halt. Wait for the escape of all. One day, every body will reach there getting escaped, with the hope of a new creation. By then, millions of era might have been passed. You decision could be such that there should not be any repentance after. Choice is yours. Yes, another fact is there, that leading a life being alive has a charm of its own. The idea of death may become a cause of repentance. When you yourself is ‘God and creation’, then why are you blaming any one who creates or make repairs. Or, escaping is the only solution ! The decision is completely personal.
Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore was dying. An old friend of him advised him to pray god for not sending him back to earth again- so that he doesn’t take rebirth in this dirty world. Rabindra Nath Tagore replied, "What are you saying ? I am praying god for allowing me several rebirth here. This world is so beautiful. It is full of flowers, songs and beautiful faces. Where will you find to see to such a "moon" or such Stars ? I am filled with delight. I am afraid of the thought that god might consider me to undeserved for taking rebirth here again and again. The Chinese philosopher Confucius used to say "When we don’t have complete knowledge this life, how can we be sure of the term after death ?"
