WAYS OF MEDITATION
The best I liked in Srimad Geeta part is the ‘Asthang Yog’ which is called ‘DHYAN YOG’ also it is descentered as below :-

YOGA OF MEDITATION
Lord Krishna told :- The man who is not expectant of the results of his performance and carries out his duties with dedication, he is the real saint and a real ‘Yogi’. And not the one who does no work and who does not set any fire.
Every person has to perform his duties. The expectation of the result or thought of its result is not essential. The important aspect is "Carrying out one’s duties".

HEY SON OF PANDU’ :- You should know that- what you call as an asceticism is ‘getting attached with yoga or ‘Param Brahma’. Because without discarding the ‘wishes of satisfying all the senses’, no body can ever become a Yogi.

The union with prime soul as an experience is called a ‘asceticism’.
It is a must for the human being to rescue himself with the help of his mind, and he should not let himself go down. This mind is a friend to the intellectuals, and a foe to them too, sometimes. The cause of salvation is the ‘mind’ detesting the sensual subjects.

He, who has won over his own mind, is a best friend of the mind of himself, but who could not do so, will remain as a greatest foe of his own mind.

That person is called a Yogi, who is happy with his attained knowledge, and attains experience in a complete way.

Who ever wins over the mind, receives the prime soul on the first place, for this kind of person, happiness- sorrows, heat-cold, dignity – humiliations are the same.
When human being sees every positive and negative aspect as equal, he is considered to be a much better one.

For a novice. ‘Asthanya Yog’ is called ‘KARAM SADHAN’ and for a veteran ‘Yogi’ abandonment of all the ‘materialistic activities’ is called a Sadhna (devotion).

When a man abandons all the materialistic wishes – neither works for satisfying the senses, nor does he keep the attitude of doing right deeds. Then, that is called rigid yoga (Yoga Rudh).
It is necessary for the yogi to involve his mind body and soul with god, stay in solitary place and control his mind carefully. He should be free from all the expectations, and from all the desires of collective thoughts.

Like wise with continuous self control of mind body and deeds, and by practicing it, Yogis of self controlled mind attain the CHINMAYA BYOM (Holy Place) by finishing their material existence.
Who ever keeps controls his habits over eating, sleeping, as well as other comforts and performance of own by practicing yoga, destroys all the materialistic woes.

HEY ARJUN :- Who ever eats more or eats very less, or who sleeps more or doesn’t sleep sufficiently, possibly cannot become a Yogi. (Discipline in every manner is essential)
For the practice of yoga, one should sit in a solitary place spreading a mat which should be soft. The seat should not be placed on a big height, neither should it be on a very low height. It is necessary for the yogi to be seated firmly, bringing the mind and all the senses in control, and to bring the mind into one point, to start the practice of yoga for purifying the heart.

It is necessary for the yogi to straighten up his body, neck and head, and should put his eye on the tip of nose. Like this, he becomes immovable, fearless, get free from subjective life to think about only me (God), and he makes only me (god) as main target.
When a Yogi takes control of his mental activities, and keeps it up (becomes free from all the materialistic desires), then it is called as SUSTHIR or ‘Yog’.

As the flame of a lamp doesn’t flicker placed in a place with ‘still’ air. Like that- the yogi who has all the control over his mind remains ‘still’ with the meditation over spiritual elements.
At the stage of maturity, which is called a ‘Samadhi’ also (accomplishment of getting obtained to ‘truth’ or prime element), the mind of the person get controlled completely. The significance of this method is that-with purity of mind, a person can look to himself and can feel the ecstasy all by himself.

A man established in this manner will not get way ward on the path and after achieving this kind of pleasure he doesn’t look for other kind of enjoyments. Reaching this stage, a person never lose his heart, even at the hardest of situation. That is undoubtedly a freedom from miseries that is produced by a ‘materialistic life’.

Man requires to practice yoga with determinations and affections. He should not get swayed away from the path. He should discourage all the desires created out of his mentality in a uncontroversial way, and like this he should tame all his senses, from all sides, by the help of his own mind.

Slowly and consequently, with faithful intelligence, one should situate himself on ‘samadhi’, and like wise the mind could be made placed on the soul, and nothing else should be brought to the thought.

Due to the freckle and unstable nature of mind, man should pull it back into his control from any where it is loitering around.

The yogi whose mind is stable over me (divine glow), he gains the prime achievement of divine happiness. He gets out of the material characteristics. One has to understand the core unity of soul with the ‘prime soul’, and like wise get himself relieved from the results of all his deeds of past.
